Original first Pressing, release in October of 62. A very rare Lp in Very Good plus condition. The dark spots on cover is from tree shade.

Founded as a four member group called The Primettes in 1959 with Florance Ballard, Mary Wilson, Diana Ross and Betty McGlown, being the last member to join the made up group. In 1960 Barbara Martin replaced Betty McGlown. In 1961 the group name was change to The Supremes.  Barbara left the group in early 62 , then the group became a trio.  All four of them had different vocal parts in recording on this album, but only three are photograph, because of the departure of Barbara  earlier that year, for the cover of MEET THE SUPREMES. ..........A very rare Gem of a record.

THE NIGHTCAPS, one of the first widely known white blues bands, were formed by high school frienThe Nightcapsds Billy Joe Shine (vocals), David Swartz (guitar), Jack Allday (drums), Mario Daboub (bass) and Gene Haufler (rhythm guitar) in 1958. Over the years they became fixtures on their local Dallas, Texas blues scene, greatly influencing the blues and R&B acts that subsequently prospered in the region. As well as performing blues standards such as Muddy Waters' "I've Got My Mojo Working" and Junior Parker's "Next Time You See Me", The Nightcaps wrote several affecting originals. The most noteworthy of these were the singles "Thunderbird" and "Wine, Wine, Wine". "Thunderbird" was later covered by devotees ZZ Top early in their career. During this period, they became a major influence on such future luminaries as Jimmie Vaughan -- who apparently learned every song off the Nightcaps' LP -- and his younger brother, Stevie Ray Vaughan, who thought Wine, Wine, Wine was just a great record, and ZZ Top. Vaughan would later record "Thunderbird," and ZZ Top used it to open their Fandango album. Billy Joe Shine still leads a revival version of the band in the Dallas area with Lead Guitarist(an original Nightcap)Gene Haufler, along with Len Mills on Rhythm Guitar and Keyboard, and brother Dennis Mills on Bass, Mark Minton on Drums, and Richard Williams on Saxophone.

Vinyl - VG+  (very nice and clean lp, plays very well)

Cover - VG/VG+ ( slight ring wear and some very lite stain on back cover near the opening). Overall a very nice album cover). Highly sought after, very collectable lp. Not very many found in this condition.

Near mint - Like new without any flaws with an occasional and few light scratches. Anything better than that would be considered Mint condition.

VG+,  - Thin line scratches with little or no effect on playing record. Plenty of shine on disc. 

VG,   - Some scratches with some pops during play, but not so disturbing, very good with some shine.

G+   - Plays with many light scratches but still can hear the music.

G-   -Enjoying the music, but with more undesirable noise.
