Description

This is an incredibly RARE Vocal Group 45 Acetate/Test pressing Downbeats "Down The Aisle" B/W " This Woman I Love" . Recorded by Sarge Records in Texas in 1962. This came from Charlie Fitch himself the owner of Sarge. "Down The Aisle" is listed in his logbook as Sarge #196. I haven't heard the stock copy of this. Possibility that these are unreleased takes. I do not know. The 45 was released on 5/25/62. The test pressing is vinyl over aluminum and is 6 1/2" in diameter. Record has a strong Bobby Bland influence with honkin' sax and bad ass guitar. ONE OF A KIND! Record is VG+ Test pressing has the clearest strongest sound, no hiss. Sounds like a mint record. Hardly played. Label has a torn off piece. Comes in the original brittle Audiodisc sleeve. Listen on youtube under j mosrite
