Description

David Bowie The Man Who Sold The World - Rare U.S Mercury Import*

SR 61325

One of the strangest Bowie sleeves ever ! Thick card sleeve with pasted lyric sheet on back cover.  Was released in this format in 1970 BEFORE the UK version (the infamous dress cover) came out (1971).

Sleeve rated good with a few issues.  No Import hole top left corner (which is good), but has some visible wear on the front (see pic).

Also there is wear to the spine with some splitting (see pic).

There is a 1.5" split on the bottom of the cover.

The vinyl does have some visible marks in one small area  (doesn't show up on photos)  but it plays out great with some background noise on the start of some tracks but no more than is usual for an LP of this age.  No jumps or major clicks or other problems.

*(repress, with etched matrix no. in dead wax)
