A superb 2015 Blackened Recordings double-vinyl edition of Metallica’s legendary self-titled album, universally known as The Black Album.
Pressed across two heavyweight 180g LPs, this edition carries the distinctive CB mastering inscriptions across all four sides, together with the “Made On The Metallipress” etchings on Sides B and D.
Originally released in 1991, Metallica transformed the band from thrash-metal giants into one of the biggest rock acts in the world. Produced by Bob Rock with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, the album combines enormous production with some of the band's most recognisable material.
It opens with Enter Sandman and also includes Sad But True, The Unforgiven, Wherever I May Roam and Nothing Else Matters, alongside deeper cuts including Of Wolf And Man, The God That Failed and My Friend Of Misery.
The original 12-inch lyric insert is included with this copy. This exact BLCKND008-1 edition is documented as a 2015 European 2LP 180g reissue supplied with a lyric sheet.

Sleeve: VG++
The original sleeve presents extremely well with only very light signs of previous storage and handling.
The predominantly black artwork is notoriously unforgiving of rubbing and wear, but this copy remains particularly clean with only minor imperfections preventing a full EX grade.

Vinyl: EX
Both records present beautifully with clean, glossy playing surfaces and only minimal signs of previous handling or play.
Any visible marks are extremely light and superficial, with all four sides comfortably deserving the EX grade.
Overall, a very strong example of this heavyweight double-vinyl edition.
