Description
In an effort to help fund an upcoming release from the Bahamas, I'm selling a lot of local records I tracked down digging around the islands. All of these are rare original pressings, and most are unknown. Bid with confidence, ask me any questions if you want to know more about a record for sale.

DESCRIPTION: Looks like a promo type record for tourists who had a fun, fun time on the island of Abaco. There was a big market to sell records to honeymooners and the like, and the more island-y looking of a cover the better. The lyrics aren't so happy-go-lucky though, one of the better songs is about free-basing crack. Fairlight + Linn Drum & sounds like something Shadow would produce.
EXTRAS: This release was on Dave Mackey's Cicada label. He told me he had the only Fairlight CMI programming computers in the Bahamas, and used it to record this EP. It's one of the earliest computers to program music with, and apparently The Rolling Stones went to Compass Point to record and asked to borrow it, but nothing came of that. Maybe Mike Mikula was too busy using it for his concept Abacos EP...

GRADING: I grade on the conservative side. Some records have a variety of condition across the grooves. Each sound clip is unaltered.
