Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue
(CBS Records BPG 62066 UK Mono LP 1960)
This is an early 1960's UK Mono pressing LP, circa 1962-1963. It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve & comes with its original generic polythene-lined company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has textured orange CBS labels. The record has BPG 62066 1L#-3 and BPG 62066 2L#-2 matrix stampers.
Unfortunately, this is a very well worn/ played early 1960's UK Mono pressing of this classic Jazz LP. However, playback is very reasonable overall. Sleeve: There is moderate fading on the rear sleeve. There is light, mild or more moderate staining on the rear sleeve on some areas too. There is a 1.5 cm seam split on the bottom edge. This is at the sleeve opening. There is moderate to considerable rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. There is a tiny pin-hole mark on the rear sleeve. This is near the top. It does not go through the front of the sleeve. There is a 1 cm scratch mark on the front sleeve. There is a very small name written in pen - just above the bottom flipback. There is mild fading to the spine. There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the spine face on a few areas. The spine text is legible. There is light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the top edge on a few areas. There is light, mild or more moderate ringwear on some areas. Overall, Fair++ condition
Vinyl: There is a 4 cm surface rub mark on Side 2. There is a 4 cm hairline surface mark on Side 2 too. There is a 3 cm surface mark at the start of Side 2. There is an 8 cm light hairline surface mark on Side 1. There are about 5 other light or very mild hairline surface marks on Side 1. These measure from 1 cm to 4 cm in length. There are some mild, very mild, more moderate or moderate sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can be seen when viewed under a strong light. Overall, Good condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild or more moderate spindle wear only. The company paper inner sleeve is in Good++ condition. There is some light, mild or more moderate ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall & even Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are about 6 mild or very mild clicks near the start of Side 2. Overall, a serviceable audio copy.
