Description

This is a record from my personal collection. I play test all records I am selling on eBay and try to identify every defect no matter how small. My packaging is how you would want it to be. I also offer a 100% no quibble money back guarantee.

MILES DAVIS + 19 - Orchestra under the direction of Gil Evans

'Miles Ahead' 1957 First UK Pressing on Fontana TFL 5007 MONO

This is the rarer album with the original soon-to-be withdrawn sleeve. Davis didn't want a white woman on the cover so it was changed to a picture of Miles blowing.

Laminated front cover; flipback rear sleeve; includes original inner sleeve

This was Davis' first collaboration with Evans since 'Birth of the Cool'

CONDITION

RECORD VG  The disc is bright and shiny but has a few scuffs to both sides. I have played the record from start to finish. The musical sound quality is superb but there are light crackles throughout. These are more definite on the first track of each side and noticeably fade as each side progresses.

COVER EX-  These covers are usually battered but this one is in excellent condition with only minor defects - stubbing to corners; slight wear to the bottom edge; a tiny tear to the front near the opening (see image) and some ripples/distortions in the paper on the rear. Otherwise in outstanding condition for its age. Please see images.

Labels EX-  Only a few spindle marks

Generic white inner sleeve

I use Record Collector gradings
