Miles Davis Quintet - Round About Midnight - Original 1957 UK Pressing Philips BBL 7140 Mono The flat edge record lays completely flat on the turntable ( Side one ) first two tracks play perfectly on track ( 3 ) ( all of you ) has a heavy 2mm scratch which clicks loudly 25 times on Miles solo, and once again light clicks on Miles solo at the end of the this track. ( Side 2 ) The first two tracks again play wonderfully with just an isolated click with no scratches. Track ( 3 ) has 15 loud clicks on Chambers solo, and 4 clicks on Coltrane solo, apart from the obvious damage the overall fidelity is superb with no spindle wear apparent, The rice paper inner is also in fantastic condition little to no signs of handling. The Flimsy Jacket is stunning with no split seams, and the lamination just starting to lift along the opening edges, bubbling along the spine edge hard to find better. This UK Philips Pressing is extremely rare in any shape
definitely not for the audio file, acceptable until a better vinyl shows up
The record will be sent in a strong box with extra protection on the corners plus added stiffeners.
