Description
Prestige 7076 with 203 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ address on both labels. This classic Davis performance has 2 Sextet tracks with J.J. Johnson, trombone; Lucky Thompson, tenor sax; Horace Silver, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums. Side B has 3 tracks by the Quintet which includes David Schildkraut, alto sax; Silver, piano; Heath, bass; Clarke, drums. Both dates are from 1954. Stamped “Preview Copy” on back cover. Cover: VG+. Initials “JR” on front cover and in lighter smaller script on the back cover. Also, 2 dates written on the back cover. There is light aging on the back cover. Gloss finished front cover. Record has a 1 ½” split on the bottom edge. Record: VG+ to mint(-). Visually shows no wear. There is a light rub-like mark at the beginning of Track 1, Side B (“Solos”). This results in a small amount of surface noise for several revolutions. Otherwise, except for an occasional, frequent, light click, no surface noise. Heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
