Description
This is truly an ULTRA RARE copy of Spinners Pick of the Litter. Although labeled "Quadraphonic," side 1 is the stereo pressing with the matrix code ST-Λ753373A-AS. Side 2 is the CD-4 Quadradisc pressing with the matrix number QD-7533-94B. You can see details for both in the photos.
This is a very rare mis-press that I have not seen anywhere else. I can't say it's one of a kind, but it must be close!
Plus, this album is in truly Near Mint condition. The vinyl is flawless and has been play tested. The CD-4 carrier is strong and works well. The cardboard sleeve is also flawless with no visible nicks. Pristine. The gatefold of the album has perforated cut-outs of the group.
The original inner sleeve explaining how Quadradiscs work is also included.
Also performing on this album are the orchestra MFSB, known for their Philadelphia sound and the hit, TSOP and, although not credited on the album sleeve, "Just as Long as We Have Love" includes vocal contributions from Dionne Warwick.
This album is from my personal collection. I have been the only owner of it since it was released, when I purchased it new. It has always been played on high end audio equipment and has been stored in a vinyl lined paper sleeve since it was first opened. My home has always been smoke free. This will be the closest thing to buying a sealed album from the 1970s.
As with all quadraphonic records, this album can be played perfectly on a standard stereo turntable. Special equipment is needed only for the 4-channel effects. Quite often, the mix on these albums could be a bit different than the original mix in the stereo record.
This record will be shipped USPS Media Mail in a cardboard container designed for shipping albums.
