Description
"The Löst Tapes Vol. 2 (Live in Norwich 1998)" is a live album by the British rock band Motörhead, released as part of a series of previously unreleased concert recordings titled *The Löst Tapes*. This particular volume captures a performance from October 18, 1998, at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, England, during the band's *Snake Bite Love* tour. The album was initially released digitally on December 24, 2021, to celebrate the birthday of Motörhead's iconic frontman, Lemmy Kilmister (who passed away in December 2015), and later made available on limited edition double blue vinyl on April 23, 2022, as part of Record Store Day.
### Background
*The Löst Tapes* series stems from a collection of cassette recordings that Motörhead made during their tours. These tapes, which captured live performances directly from the soundboard, were stored for years in a cave owned by Lemmy, only to be rediscovered after his death. The recordings have been carefully digitized and released to give fans access to rare, high-energy live performances from various points in the band's career. *Vol. 2* is the second installment in this series, following *The Löst Tapes Vol. 1 (Live in Madrid 1995)*.
### Performance and Lineup
The Norwich 1998 concert showcases Motörhead in what has been described as "venomous form," delivering a raw and powerful set typical of their live shows. At this point, Motörhead was a trio consisting of:
- **Lemmy Kilmister** – Vocals and bass
- **Phil Campbell** – Guitar
- **Mikkey Dee** – Drums
This lineup, often regarded as the band's classic trio formation, had been solidified since the early 1990s and remained consistent until Lemmy's death. The *Snake Bite Love* tour supported their 1998 album of the same name, and the setlist reflects a mix of tracks from that album alongside Motörhead's classic hits.

The album features 21 tracks, capturing the band's signature high-octane sound. The tracklist for *The Löst Tapes Vol. 2 (Live in Norwich 1998)* is as follows:
