Mozart Magic Flute Karl Bohm UK Decca SXL 2215 / 7 ED1
Hilde Gueden , Wilma Lipp, Emmy Loose, Walter Berry and others with the Vienna State Choir and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Karl Bohm perform the opera “Die Zauberflote” (“The Magic Flute”) by Mozart. A three record set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2215 / 2216 / 2217), the labels are black and silver with “Original Recording by… at 10 o’clock, full frequency stereophonic sound fatband, ffss logo, and a groove. The records have three or four minor light surface scuffs that do not sound and are otherwise of excellent appearance and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The box has very minor wear on a couple of corners and is in excellent condition. The libretto has tape along the spine edge that has discoloured and is split. The original Decca ffss inner bags are excellent.
