Mozart Magic Flute Karl Bohm UK Decca SXL 2215/6/7 WBG 1 ED
Hilde Gueden , Wilma Lipp, Emmy Loose, Walter Berry and others with the Vienna State Choir and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Karl Bohm perform the opera “Die Zauberflote” (“The Magic Flute”) by Mozart. A three record set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2215 / 2216 / 2217 – all stampers 1E except side 6 2E), the labels are black and silver with “Original Recording by… at 10 o’clock, full frequency stereophonic sound fatband, ffss logo, and a groove. The records have a slightly greyish look (plastic inners?) and a couple of tiny minor scuffs, and otherwise are of excellent appearance, and play and sound superb with occasional low-level surface noise. There is some minor wear to the plastic sleeve and the libretto is in excellent condition. The original Decca ffss inner bags are excellent.
