Description

MUDDY WATERS - Muddy Waters   EP                              Pye International NEP 44010             Original Picture Cover         Condition: VG/EX Born McKinley Morganfield in 1913, Muddy Waters is considered to be the father of Chicago blues. This sampler, imported by Pye in 1963, shows Muddy at his best, on an EP becoming rare and expensive. The cover has some laminate creasing and is a touch grubby on the reverse. I have removed some writing as best as I can - a touch is left on the top left rear cover. Tracks are: "You shook me", "Little brown bird", "You need love" and "Muddy Waters Twist". If you like blues, this is as good as it gets and when will you see a better copy - I cannot remember the last time I did.
I play the A side of my sale records on an original Monarch turntable, the successor to the Dansette. These machines were tailor made for the early vinyl so if there was anything untoward, it would soon be found. If you disagree with the rating, don't make a fuss - ask for that refund!
Listed by Record Collector Price Guides at £40.00. My price is £16.95
VERY IMPORTANT POSTAGE NOTICE I am increasingly disabled and unable to walk without assistance. I will post as soon as I am able to secure the services of someone to assist me.
THIS COULD EASILY BE AS QUICK AS 2 WORKING DAYS BUT MAY BE AS LONG AS 7 - 10 WORKING DAYS. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE CO-INCIDENCE OF THE PAYMENT DATE AND SOMEONE BEING AVAILABLE AT MY END. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM ME AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SLOW SERVICE OR OPEN A CASE FOR NON-DELIVERY. IF YOU ARE KEPT WAITING, I CAN ONLY APOLOGISE IN ADVANCE.
Customers will only pay the second class mail price, but if there is an unduly long wait, I may send the item first class at no extra charge. If you do wait you will receive a quality item, or in the rare event that you do not agree with me, a 100% no quibble guarantee including postage.

PRICE BREAKDOWN FOR U.K:   Large letter postage charge for 10 cm x 10 cm x 1 cm and weight up to half a kilo is £1.48 second class and £1.65 first class. PACKAGING:   A strong mailing envelope with a stiffener cost 15 pence each off Ebay sellers. Therefore the actual charge for one to three discs is £1.78, rounded to £1.80. I do not make a profit on postage so please do not leave a low mark during feedback as it affects my selling allowance.  ENQUIRE for prices of larger amounts. Regular customers or those who buy significant amounts may get charged less, or will receive items POST FREE.
Despite what EBAY says, the carrier (i.e. the Post Office or courier firm) is responsible for the loss in transit of correctly paid for and addressed mail items and NOT the seller. That is UK law. Therefore, I will assist wherever possible of course, in a variety of ways, but ultimate responsibility for the item (s) rests with the carrier and their in-place systems for doing so. I cannot refund lost items unless the customer pays for the appropriate level of compensation at the time of purchase. Buying any item from me means you accept that.
WHO AM I?
HonestDave'sRecords has been successfully selling 1950's and 1960's singles and LP's at record fairs for nearly 40 years and on Ebay since 2006. In fact I handle anything between 1954 and 1973, from any number of fields including: Pop, Beat, Soul, Northern Soul, Tamla Motown, Reggae, Instrumentals, Solo Girls and Boys and Girl Groups. If you want a fright, my photo and stall set out at a major London fair is on the mE button adjacent to my user name above, as is the means to get hold of me. I buy around 2,000 new items a year so I have no idea what I have or don't have. If you have a specific requirement, contact me and I'll see what I can find. If I have the item you want, I will load it on Ebay for you. At any one time I will have between five and eight thousand (5,000-8,000) singles and EP's. I rarely sell LP's these days - they are just too heavy for my poor old knees. Prices range from clearance items (£1.00 - £1.95), huge numbers in the next range up (£2.25 - £4.95), good, collectable items in the pop, instrumental, beat, girl groups and soloists, straight soul and northern soul (£5.95 - £19.95), and then the really rare ones all the way up to Eddie Holland singles on Oriole (£300.00 - £450.00). 99% of my stock are UK issues, though a few will be American or European and the description will say so; most will have the original or an exact replica of the company sleeve it was issued in and almost all will have the original centre intact - a very few desirable ones may be sold with the centre punched out.
My lowest sales category is Very Good although only a few will actually be found listed as low as that. I try to ensure that all items should be in Very Good Plus, Excellent or Near Mint condition as defined by Record Collector Price Guides. I never use the condition Mint as it cannot be proved to my satisfaction. However, there is always the odd bad one that slips through the net when you deal in the numbers I do, and don't forget that even in the Sixties, duff copies came off the production line and these could easily still be out there.
If you should find any of my records are not as described, don't rush to leave negative feedback or poor marks on my seller ratings - I hate this system and it achieves nothing, despite what Ebay may think. It causes only bad feeling and solves nothing! Honest Dave offers a 100% money back, including all postage costs guarantee to any unsatisfied buyer. I will NOT require the item back - if it isn't any good to you, then it certainly isn't for me so throw it in the bin.
