This Issue: On front cover: Paper covering, over black cardboard, has grey-green background with large Ramsey photo of farmers with cart and mule. Above it, in black letters, is album title and: "Field recordings taken in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi under a grant from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation by Frederic Ramsey, Jr. With photographs, notes, and personnels." Below that, in black letters, flush left: "VOLUME 8 YOUNG SONGSTERS" and, ranged right, in smaller letters: "FOLKWAYS RECORDS FA 2657".
On back: Same paper with grey-green background, same black letters - but only taking up a quarter of back. Album title in large letters, across top. Production information listed below, with "(C) 1955 Folkways Records and Service Corp., 701 Seventh Ave., N.Y. 10036". "FOLKWAYS FA 2657" printed vertically on extreme left and extreme right. Track titles listed below, in two columns.
Eight-page booklet, with liner notes, lyrics, and photos, has, at top of page 1, on first line: "FOLKWAYS RECORDS Album No. FA 2657 and FA 2658" and, on second line: "(C) 1956, 1962 Folkways Records and Service Corp., 701 Seventh Ave., NYC USA".

Center Labels and Runouts: ?Dark-blue background with silver lettering, including label address: "117 W. 46 St., N.Y.C.". Below that: "Copyright (C) 1956 by Folkways Records and Service Corp., NYC, USA". Left of center hole: "SIDE I" (or "II"). Right of hole: "FP 657 A" (or "B"). At bottom: "Custom molded by Playstylite".

Condition of Record: N. Never played. Only removed from paper sleeve to photograph for this auction.

Condition of Cover: While not in shrink wrap, album has been kept upright, away from sunlight, since I bought it (new). In addition to the LP, the booklet had never been removed till it was photographed for this auction. Folkways classic, sturdy cover is unmarred: not a mark on front or back. Spine and its corners perfect, except for tiny wrinkle at bottom one. Bottom corner, open end, very slightly bumped. If back is tilted in the light, an inch spot reveals a bit of rubbing.

I'm an independent seller divesting his own record collection. I'm not selling from a store or warehouse, with multiple copies of titles, or on behalf of a professional collector.

Shipping: Ebay requires seller to indicate shipping methods and other particulars, then automatically inserts the cost at the top of the listing. Buyer will pay amount as determined by destination, by shipping method he chooses, and by required insurance (see: below); I don't gouge the price to make more profit. (USPS Media Mail is cheapest; I will provide prices for US Priority, or for FedEx or UPS ground, if requested.)

Insurance is mandatory on shipments to US addresses: The final price of the item determines the amount of insurance required. Please wait till I inform you of your total cost prior to submitting payment. It and not Ebay's stated cost is the amount to be paid.

**For winners outside US**: USPS shipping options are International Priority and International Express. Both methods include insurance but only Express provides a return receipt. (Check USPS's website for shipping prices.) If you want a private-company shipper, I will quote you the cost at end of auction. First-Class-Package service, which doesn't include insurance, is an option; the shipping cost will be lower, but if your item doesn't arrive you have no recourse. The risk is yours.

Packing: The LP will be carefully placed in the standard cardboard LP box. If you want cardboard inserts for extra reinforcement, please say so.

Payment: Although Ebay now processes payments directly, I also accept Paypal. I accept cash in cases of in-person deliveries.

Returns: Returns will be accepted in cases of error in description.
