** VERY RARE UK 1970 REPRISE LABEL A1/B1 YELLOW LABEL ADVANCE PROMOTION COPY 1st-EVER PRESSING of the classic 7" 45rpm "CINNAMON GIRL" / "DOWN BY THE RIVER" by NEIL YOUNG **
** It would be very hard to find a better condition copy of this record **
** "DOWN BY THE RIVER" has A1 matrix and "CINNAMON GIRL" has B1 matrix on this record - indicating that the original intention was for "DOWN BY THE RIVER" to be the A-side, although the labels clearly state otherwise. **
An Excellent condition 45, with hardly any surface marks at all. This record has been played very few times. Original 4-prong centre is intact, with no spindle marks at all. No skips, jumps, warps, sticking, scuffs, scratches, or writing or stickers on labels. Sound quality on both sides is superb, with hardly any surface noise. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Supplied in original Reprise company sleeve, which is in Excellent ,crisp condition, with no writing, seam splits or creasing.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
