Issued on limited edition blue vinyl is Max Richter’s emotive and minimal score to Damon Lindelof’s TV series about a post-apocalyptic global event where 2% of the world’s population disappears without explanation. Richter’s approach explores the feelings of the protagonist’s family, the Garveys, through intimate, small scale music. He tackles this psychological landscape by bringing a ritual quality to the score, while themes of departure and loss are represented by a sense of sonic decay, relying on the instrumentation of a few sustained tones on pianos, harps and celesta.

Max Richter is a classically trained composer that defies boundaries. Trained at the Royal Academy of Music and finishing his studies under the tutelage of avant-garde composer Luciano Berio in Florence, Richter’s career has followed many paths. His musical output ranges from ballets (Wayne MacGregor’s Infra), reinventions of classical works (Vivaldi’s Four Seasons), collaborations with The Future Sound Of London, Roni Size and Vashti Bunyan to writing scores for film and TV (Waltz With Bashir, Lost and Found, Last Days on Mars) and solo work (Memoryhouse, The Blue Notebooks, 24 Postcards In Full Colour).

Returns:

Most Buy It Now purchases are protected by the Distance Selling Regulations. To cancel a Contract, you must inform us in writing, and we will provide return instructions. You must return the products to us at your own cost and risk. You will not have any right to cancel a Contract for the supply of products that have been customised for you, such as pre-cut or terminated speaker cables. This provision does not affect your statutory rights. We cannot accept returns for Ex Display / Repaired / B-Stock or items sold by auction unless the item was not as described in the listing. The buyer must contact us within 3 days of receiving the item to initiate a return. The buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.

Payment:

We ask that payment is made within 3 days. We prefer payment by PayPal, and will only ship the item your PayPal confirmed address when PayPal is used. We also accept payment by uncrossed postal order, Personal Cheque, Bank Transfer and Credit Card by telephone. If payment isn’t received within 3 days, a Non-Paying bidder dispute will be filed, and the item may be offered to the next highest bidder or relisted at our sole discretion.

Shipping:

All goods purchased are securely and safely packaged for transit. The cost of Packaging materials (e.g. Jiffy Bags, Bubble Wrap etc) is included in the P&P charge. Items will normally be sent within 3 working days of receipt of cleared payment.

Stock:

Most items are either in stock with us or our suppliers and available for dispatch within 3 days. Occasionally, an item may be awaiting stock and in these instances we will contact you to confirm you are happy to wait for the item.
