NICK DRAKE - Bryter Layter (Island ILPS9134) - LP - 1972

Very nicely presented copy of Nick Drake's classic Bryter Later LP, released on the Island label. This is a 1972 second pressing: it is a pink rim Island, with textured sleeve printed by EJ Day Group, and the matrix numbers ILPS 9134A-1U / 9134B-1U. The vinyl retains a very good sheen with some ultra-light superficial surface marks (those ultra-fine, whispy sleeve removal kind of marks), plus just a few tiny marks and one small, shallow scratch (1cm in length) on the opening track - nothing significant - see descriptions below and check-out the soundclips. The textured sleeve is in beautiful condition - see below. Overall, the record looks great and plays great.
A-side: There is only a tiny hint of any background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with some tiny and occasional very small pops and clicks plus just four more prominent ones. The small scratch highlighted above is shallow and does not really penetrate the grooves - thus there are only a few tiny clicks plus two moderate ones (check-out the soundclip). Grade - Track 1 = VG+, otherwise varies between EX-/EX and EX+/Near Mint, generally EXB-side: There is only a tiny amount of any background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with some tiny and occasional very small pops and clicks plus a few more prominent ones. There are four or five brief licks of faint hiss on the penultimate track (checkout the soundclip). Grade - varies between VG+ and EX/EX+, generally EX-/EX
Labels: There is some light foxing (faint yellowy-brown spots) of the A-side label (see scan), while the B-side label is pristine.
Sleeve: There is just a tiny amount of light wear to the spine (1 cm), a few light bumps and very small, light edge creases. Overall, it looks amazing.
