Description
This is an original U.S. stereo pressing copy of the rare sole LP by Florida garage group the Nightcrawlers, released in 1967. The group's claim to fame is the LP's title song, an odd minor key folk-rock ditty that became a minor hit. The song was recorded and first released in 1965. Both sides of that single are on their LP, along with both sides of two follow-up singles from 1966, "I Don't Remember" and "A Basket of Flowers," which gives the LP a sort of throwback feel. Folk-rock is its dominant genre, but the group also serves up moody garage pop ("If You Want My Love," "What Time Is It") and garage rock ("You're Running Wild," "I Don't Remember," "Who Knows"). A unique record! The jacket's flaws are mostly around the edges: spine and seam wear, light ring wear and scuffing, and light edge wear (EX). The disc has some staining, scraping, scuffing, and loss of glossiness, and plays with a steady light to moderate hiss, but no pops in the many parts I sampled (VG+). The record comes with the original label inner sleeve.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
