The band's sophomore LP isn't a major departure from the debut, offering up another collection of mid-1960s English psych. That said, 1968's "All of Us" appeals as much as the debut. The Campbell-Lyons - Spyropoulos-penned tracks such as "Melanie Blue", "Trapeze" and "Girl In the Park" are highly melodic and commercial. Giving credit where due, there are a number of gems to be found here. The heavily phased "Rainbow Chaser" is a nifty slice of psych, while "Tiny Goddess" stands as one of their prettiest ballads and "Miami Masquerade" qualifies as one of the year's weirder offerings. This release is just as rare as the first issue. Let me explain. In 1967 Island released their LPs with a bright pink design, often referred to as the 'Pink Eye Label' or 'Eyeball Label'. The first album with this label was John Martyn's LONDON CONVERSATION(1967), and the last one Dr. Strangely Strange's KIP OF THE SERENES (ILPS 9106, in 1969).
In the summer of 1969 Island started to use alternative label designs, however not chronologically. But all ILPS releases earlier than the Dr. Strangely Strange album, with the exception of ILPS 9102, ILPS 9104 and ILPS 9105 have been originally issued with this Eyeball label.
None of these sold in huge numbers and all are found with the following matrix marks ILPS xxxx + A & ILPS xxxx + B Not all were reissued and those that were have the following Matrix marks ILPS xxxx A//1 &ILPS xxxx B//1
So what we have here is an example with the ORIGINAL first press matrix marks ILPS 9087 + A and ILPS 9087 + B but with the later pink "i" label. The record comes with its first press fully laminated sleeve. Later ones were in a matt format.
Clearly this release should not have happened. Very strange.
Gradings:-NM - no background noise at all. The record plays like new

VG+ will have crackle and soft tics/clicks
