Description
You are bidding on a copy of Nirvana's classic debut, on the Australian Waterfront label, catalogue number DAMP 114. It's very rare, and most dealers charge at least $500 for a decent copy of it. The record is near-mint, I am the original owner and it has been played a handful of times, and has sat safely in a cabinet in my home. There are no scratches, and almost no marks on The sleeve is in good shape, very shiny and smooth overall, the only flaw is a tear along the top seam of the sleeve. You can see from the photos that it is not all that noticeable. I have included a couple of photos of the tear -it is about 4 inches long. Check my feedback (100% positive, no "mutually withdrawn" feedback), and bid with confidence!
Just noticed that I have an unfinished sentence in the description: that should read "There are no scratches, and almost no marks on the label."
Looking at the record again, I realize that the vinyl is more of a red than an orange really. The sleeve is very much orange, but I should have called the vinyl red. It comes out pretty clearly in the photos I think. Sorry for the confusion folks!
One last thing in the interests of full disclosure: cleaning the record this afternoon I noticed a very light scratch, about half an inch long, at track 3 on side 1 -it does NOT affect play at all, I just put the record on my turntable and listened closely, and it sounds perfect, no pops or clicks from it. But it is visible when the light shines on it, so I thought I should mention it. That's it for the updates!
