Description
Firstly, apologies for relisting this item. Because I cannot say with complete certainty that this is a 'test' pressing, I have relisted it as a 'white label' pressing and have decided there will be no 'Reserve' option (not an available option on eBay AU).
This auction is for a 'white label' pressing of Nirvana's first single 'Love Buzz/Big Cheese' on 7" vinyl.
The matrix codes have been verified as correct:
Side A: SP-23-A Kdisc WHY DON'T YOU TRADE THOSE GUITARS FOR SHOVELS? L-31540
Side B: SP-23-B Kdisc L-31540X
The etched WHY DON'T YOU TRADE THOSE GUITARS FOR SHOVELS quote on Side A has also been verified as correct at 2 mm in height.
The 'Cartoon' intro preceeding 'Love Buzz' track has also been verified as correct.
The machine stamped K-disc has also been verified as correct.
The vinyl is housed in a plain white sleeve (as are most 'test' pressings).
The Side A and Side B labels are a plain white and contain no writing. The colour of the labels is best described as 'semi-gloss' and is a little 'bubbled'. (It was suggested that this may have been relabelled as you can see about 1 mm of off white colour around about half of the Side A label and about one third of the Side B label. The original 'Retail' release of this vinyl had 'Black' labels though.. pretty much the opposite of off white.. and so I would suggest it is more likely a label mispress). The centre spindle holes match up fine.
The condition is graded 'good' as it has a lot of light surface scuffing as well as some heavy scuffing around the edges here and there, however the sound quality is not affected as it plays all the way through both the 'Love Buzz' and 'Big Cheese' tracks without skipping.
The item is sold as described and will be shipped via recorded mail (free of charge) for peace of mind with insurance optional and at cost if required.
