Insanely rare original David Geffen Co. Sub Pop Records promotional US release of Nirvana’s 2nd and most commercially successful album “Nevermind” released on September 24, 1991. 1st print promotional cover with the gold embossed “FOR PROMOTION ONLY Ownership Reserved Sale Is Unlawful” stamp at the bottom of the back cover. 1st print David Geffen Company black labels with the “DGC” logo and DGC-24425 catalog number which can also be found on the inner sleeve and cover. This promotional album comes with a custom black-and-white printed paper inner sleeve. One side features a photo of the band along with production credits. The reverse (appearing upside-down when rotating vertically) features select song lyrics and photo by Kurt Cobain of a rubber monkey he owned. 1st pressing vinyl mastered by Masterdisk as identified by the company’s name etched in the runout groove on Side 1 contains the very early 1st matrix numbers: Side 1 – DGC-24425-A-GL1 MASTERDISK; Side 2 – DGC-24425-B-GL1 1-2.

The stunning cover is in Near Mint Minus condition. It doesn't have any ring wear, splits, residue, scuffs or tears, only a few very light creases at the bottom right of the front cover. I grade the vinyl as somewhere between Strong Very Good Plus and Excellent Minus. It has a beautiful factory gloss only containing some very light non-feelable surface hairlines as well as the scuffs from the original inner sleeve which is in Near Mint Minus condition and doesn't have any splits or tears. The labels are very clean and in Near Mint Minus condition, completely scuff- and wear-free. The vinyl sounds amazing only having some very light occasional static which most likely will go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
