TCHAIKOVSKY - SYMPHONY No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 17
Performed by the Orchestre de la Société des Concerts du Conservatoire conducted by SIR GEORG SOLTI
One of many, very rare lps featuring Szell, Ansermet, Kletzki, Barbirolli, Krips & Silvestri (amongst others) listed this week, including some "Grails" and Test Pressings.
Very rare 2 x single sided Test Pressings. Stampers are ZAL 3162-2M & ZAL 3163-1M
No SXL of this release only the export London pressings CS 6118, making these UK 1st test pressings even rarer.
Decca 1st UK Test Pressings
Catalogue Number: No SXL / CS 6118 on label but UK Decca Test Pressings
Sleeve: No production sleeve. Vinyl is EX/EX++. Plays well with some minor background noise and crackles in quieter moments. The odd scattered tic. Side Two has a tiny needle drop at the start which creates 6 tics, then plays very well.
