Description

Shadow 1263.  Supposedly recorded in a basement in Birmingham, Michigan in 1956 and released on Stookey's own Shadow label in 1957.  Both sides written by Noel Paul Stookey.  The A-side is a ballad with just acoustic guitar and bass.  The B-side is a rockabilly raver with Stookey shouting "Let's Rock!" just before the sax break.  The vinyl looks nice but has some VERY audible noise. Perhaps not the highest quality pressing???  Have a listen to both sides by clicking here:

Labels are in pristine  condition.

Matt Weston is a musician with a blog called "Tarfumes".  His father, Mike Weston, is the sax player on  "Goodbye Baby".  In 2008, Matt posted some details on this record from his Dad.  Besides Mike Weston, the other "Corsairs" were Jim Ewing on bass and Tom Halsted on drums.  It seems only about 50 copies of this disc were pressed.
