Nouvelle Vague Nouvelle Vague 12” Vinyl LP Reissue Kwaidan TPK001LP. 2016. NM/VG+
Transparent Vinyl.
This record is from my personal collection. It was purchased second hand on line graded as NM / NM but the vinyl is not up to that grade.
The sleeve is graded as Near Mint. It is still in its shop wrapping and there are no defects other than a trace wear to sleeve opening on front bottom left (see last photo). Vinyl is housed in a generic black inner sleeve which has a white mark on it which can be seen in photo 3
The record is play graded as VG+. On Side 1 there is some light background crackle in quieter sections and between tracks and some clicks during play. Side B is better with just occasional light clicks. It’s annoying because I would visually grade the vinyl as NM. It’s difficult to see any imperfections due to the transparent nature of the vinyl. There doesn’t appear to be any marks and the vinyl has a lovely sheen. A mystery why it doesn’t play as Near Mint - perhaps it was just the pressing?
Record will be posted in a designated vinyl mailer with stiffeners for added protection during transit.
