ORANGE JUICE: Blue Boy / Love Sick 7" Single Rarely Available First Issue (blue labels) and unique hand coloured poster/sleeve
1980 Postcard Records, PC 80-2
This is an extremely rare first pressing of this double A sided single, with blue labels and an individually hand coloured glossy poster. The posters were made to fold two ways - to either make the cover for this record, or the Postcard 80-3 release (Josef K Radio Drill Time/Crazy to Exist).
Each poster was individually coloured in by hand by band members and friends and so is absolutely unique. This one (and others made at the time) was coloured in a basement flat in Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow in 1979/1980. It also has the Josef K poster still attached and is in excellent condition.
This is a very collectible piece of music history from the Scottish independent music scene and the early days of Postcard Records.
The vinyl is in excellent condition on the Love Sick side, with a couple of scuffs on the Blue Boy side, which doesn’t affect play other than a slight crackle on the Lead In/Lead Out.
There are 3 small letters stamped on the label on one side, as per the photo.
