ORIGINAL BEATLES TRUE BUTCHER LP 2nd STATE YESTERDAY AND TODAY HIGH GRADE COVER

Up for sale is a vintage beatles lp, The Beatles Yesterday And Today, T2553 featuring the increasingly rarer 2nd state butcher cover.  i say increasingly rarer because over the last 47 years people have been unpeeling so many 2nd state butcher albums that these are becoming harder and harder to find in an unrestored state.  Look closely at my close-up of the bottom right cover and you yourself can see the turtleneck of ringo.  The album cover also has the ribbed look and feel of true butcher covers that have been pasted over.  And on the close up of the original vinyl you can see the handwritten, as opposed to typed out, vinyl matrix number, which is indicative of early pressings (the matrix says T-2-2553-F-17).  I cannot say the capitol insert is original but it is of the time frame roughly (I am not the original owner of this record so  I'm being cautious).

As you can see from the photos (and please refer to the pics provided for FINAL detail) there is ring wear on the front and back cover, common for white and light colored albums of this age, but what is amazing is how subdued the ring wear is.  There is hand written name on upper right cover that is small and appears removeable to the right professional, I dunno. I photographed spine and upper and lower sides. bottom corner of spine has small paper loss see pic but otherwise spine is strong and information is easily readable.  Bottom right corner of cover is dinged see pic.  In the picture where you see a ruler it is to show a split that is under five inches see pic. I played the entire record on my vintage Sony turntable using a newer Walco ES-30EX cartridge and stylus and it played thru on both sides but I would grade the vinyl itself a VG or VG-. 

Once agin I refer you to the pics of the cover, which is remarkable to me in how nice the condition is, a perfect candidate for a 3rd state peel or in my opinion this would make a great high grade companion next to a first state or third state butcher album.
