OST: "BARBARELLA" - BOB CREWE GENERATION & THE GLITTERHOUSE.
UK First Pressing. EMI/STATESIDE. SSL 10260. STEREO (1968).
Superb soundtrack for the 1968 cult erotic Sci Fi thriller Barbarella. The film was based on the French 'Barbarella' comic book created by Jean-Claude Forest. The film starred Jane Fonda in the title role as the very futuristic and very sexy space traveller Barbarella. Soundtrack has groovy late 60's psychedelic strings, guitars and vocals. Many great tracks including 'Barbarella', 'Love love love drags me down', scorching instrumentals like 'Spaceship out of control' and the erotic 'Sex machine' and 'Chamber of dreams'. Lyrics and music by Bob Crewe and Charles Fox, with the Bob Crewe Generation Orchestra, songs sung by the Glitterhouse and Bob Crewe.
EXTREMELY RARE LP as a UK ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING and hard to find one as good as this with COVER EXCELLENT MINUS (EX-) & VINYL EXCELLENT (EX). Excellent/Near mint copies (if you can find them) sell for anything upwards of £100. I've seen them selling for £300.
No writing on the cover. I have photographed the worst looking bits where laminate has cracked/creased, and on one of the labels there is some old sellotape residue (not sticky).
