Original soundtrack recording - The Riviera Police Theme.


Rare acetate from Emi of the main theme to the short lived 1965 bbc series - The Riviera Police.

Apparently it was a hit when it was broadcast in 1965. 4 chiseled police detectives solving crimes on the French Riviera. Frolicking with bikini clad girls in every episode.

The music is very upbeat, groovy James Bond style with some nice brass and flute.


The music was never released as far as I know. The musicians are a mystery, but could be a who's who of UK jazz.


The acetate plays through well. A little muddy in the mix but still a very decent listen, one sided.
