Another from my personal collection of over 50,00 Uk albums that I have collected over a period of 45 years or more!. This is an early original 1st UK pressing of Ozzy Obournes fourth studio album "The Ultimate Sin" released in 1986 on the Epic labels in the UK.  It has always been stored in a case with the vinyl removed from the cover and sleeve for protection. This is how I have always stored my records. Visually the vinyl looks barely ever played in my opinion. I struggle to see no more than one spicer trace certainly no more than hand full of spider traces if that around the spindle hole. No needle scratches or marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops just beautiful near perfect sound quality and fantastic bassey feel and separationonly heard like this on the earliest pressings. Please listen to the recording in the player below. I would grade the audio at Near Mint throughout in my opinion.
This is complete with the original picture/ lyric insert record sleeve and  Shorewood packaging Press printed, original ist issue un laminated cover is also in top condition throughout and I dought that you could find a better copy of this cover in my opinion!
For me the audio quality has always been my prime interest with vinyl. Audio graded at Near Mint in my opinion!  Early 1st UK pressing!

The Ultimate Sin is the fourth studio album by British heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.





It was released on 22 February 1986, and it was remastered and re-issued on 22 August 1995.




It marks the final appearance of lead guitarist Jake E. Lee and the first and only Osbourne album to feature bassist Phil Soussan, who co-wrote the album's hit single "Shot in the Dark". Drummer Randy Castillo, who had previously played in Lita Ford's band, also makes his recording debut with Osbourne.



The album was awarded Platinum status in May 1986 and was awarded Double Platinum status in October 1994 by the RIAA



The Ultimate Sin is the first and only Osbourne album to feature bassist Phil Soussan, who co-wrote the album's hit single "Shot in the Dark".




Drummer Randy Castillo, who had previously played in Lita Ford's band, also makes his recording debut with Osbourne.



Upon returning from the Betty Ford Center in 1985 where he had undergone treatment for substance abuse, Osbourne was presented with a substantial quantity of music written by guitarist Jake E. Lee. After having been cheated out of his writing and publishing claims for Osbourne's previous album, 1983's Bark At The Moon, Lee says this time he refused to contribute anything until he had a contract in front of him guaranteeing his writing credit and publishing rights. Much of this music would form the basis of the album. The album's lyrics were largely written by long-time Osbourne bassist and lyricist Bob Daisley. Daisley left the band prior to recording after having a disagreement with Osbourne, prompting the hiring of Soussan as his replacement. Daisley was not credited for his songwriting contributions on the initial 1986 pressing of the album, though this was corrected on subsequent pressings.







Future Y&T and Megadeth drummer Jimmy DeGrasso worked with Lee and Daisley on demos for the album, but this version of the band fell apart due to Osbourne's commitment to the Black Sabbath summer 1985 reunion concert at Live Aid; Castillo and Soussan ultimately replaced DeGrasso and Daisley once recording commenced

The Vinyl
On visual inspection this looks almost as un played in my opinion. I find it hard to even see a blemish on the playing surface, any that could possibly be seen angled to the light would be sleeve removal scuffs only. The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping. Importantly, there are no visual marks that would cause any loud constant clicks/ticks or pops during the play of this vinyl.

The Audio Quality
I have play tested the vinyl two times on two different turntables/systems at very loud volume prior to this listing. Once for you to hear the complete album. (Can be heard in the player above)
The moment that the needle hits the playing surface it is obvious to me that this has barely ever been played at all. Crystal clear and vibrant stunning top audio throughout the play of this vinyl.   I would grade the audio at Near Mint!

Please note! Allowances must be made for these mid eighties pressings. They are notorious for static ticks/crackle in quieter places. I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for very light isolated static type crackle/ticks that might be noticed in quieter places, but not consistent through out the audio. Debrit was noted on the playing surface after play. A constant clean before each play is recommended because this vinyl has been stored in a case laying dormant for over 30 years. A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static ticks/ crackle. constant cleaning before each play will reduce this and enhance the audio quality.
 
The Labels
These are the original 1st UK issue Epic labels Barely a handful of spider marks can be seen angled to the light, in fact I really struggle to just find one. This has barely ever been played in my personal opinion!. There is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round.

The Record Sleeve
This is the original 1st issue flimsy paper picture/lyric record sleeve. This is straight and generally clean with light creasing only.  There are no edge splits or tears. The vinyl is always stored separately from the vinyl. This is how I have always stored my records.

The Cover
This is the original 1st UK issue Un laminated cover. Printed by Shorewood Packaging. Super clean and straight. No nasty creases to report and any storage wear is only really noticed if looked for in my opinion. Any edge rubbing is very slight only and not noticed unless looked for in my opinion.. The spine has absolutely no rubbing. Only if looked at angled to the light are very very minor indents seen on the front only. Rich and very vibrant colours. I would grade this cover at least eexcellent plus to Very Near Mint in my opinion.
