Another from my personal collection of over 50,00 Uk albums that I have collected over a period of 45 years or more!. This is an early original 1st UK pressing of Ozzy Obournes "The Ultimate Sin" released in 1986 on the Epic labels in the UK.  It has always been stored in a case with the vinyl removed from the cover and sleeve for protection. This is how I have always stored my records. Visually the vinyl looks barely ever played in my opinion. I struggle to see no more than a minimal amount of spider traces around the spindle hole. No needle scratches or marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops just beautiful near perfect sound quality and fantastic bassey feel and separation only heard like this on the earliest pressings. Please listen to the recording in the player below. I would grade the audio at Near Mint throughout in my opinion. I don't think that you weill find a better sounding vinyl! No Clicks, ticks or pops, silent in between tracks. The Most vibrant copy that I have heard truly amazing!
This is complete with the original picture/ lyric insert record sleeve and  Shorewood packaging Press printed, original ist issue un laminated cover is also in top condition throughout. There is light markings/wear only to mention mainly at the rear. Graded at excellent in my opinion.

For me the audio quality has always been my prime interest with vinyl. Audio graded at Near Mint in my opinion!  Early 1st UK pressing!

The Ultimate Sin is the fourth studio album by British heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.



It was released on 22 February 1986, and was remastered and re-issued on compact disc on 22 August 1995.


It is the second and last of Osbourne's albums to feature lead guitarist Jake E. Lee, and the first to feature drummer Randy Castillo and bassist Phil Soussan, who co-wrote the album's hit single "Shot in the Dark".


The album was awarded Platinum status in May 1986 and was awarded Double Platinum status in October 1994 by the RIAA


At the time of its release, The Ultimate Sin was Osbourne's highest-charting studio album, as heavy metal was enjoying a surge in popularity during the mid-1980s.




The RIAA awarded the album Platinum status on 14 May 1986, soon after its release; it was awarded Double Platinum status on 26 October 1994.



The album sold over 2,000,000 copies worldwide. In the UK, it was the final of four Osbourne albums to attain Silver certification (60,000 units sold) by the British Phonographic Industry, achieving this in April 1986.



Despite being one of Osbourne's most successful solo albums, The Ultimate Sin was the only album among Osbourne's back catalog to not be reissued or remastered in 2002.




Though no official reason was given, rumors circulated that an ongoing legal struggle with bassist/songwriter Phil Soussan over his song "Shot in the Dark" was responsible for the album's failure to be re-issued.




Such reports are unfounded, as the only known legal proceeding between them was over an accounting issue that was believed to have been resolved in the early 1990s. The only available CD version of The Ultimate Sin remains the 1995 remastered version, which is missing four measures of music between the first chorus and second verse of "Shot in the Dark" found on the original CDs, vinyl copies, and cassettes.

The Vinyl
On visual inspection this looks superb, barely played in my opinion. I find it hard to even see a blemish on the playing surface, any that could possibly be seen angled to the light would be sleeve removal scuffs only. The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping. Importantly, there are no visual marks that would cause any loud constant clicks/ticks or pops during the play of this vinyl.

The Audio Quality
I have play tested the vinyl two times on two different turntables/systems at very loud volume prior to this listing. Once for you to hear the complete album. (Can be heard in the player above)
The moment that the needle hits the playing surface it is obvious to me that this has barely ever been played at all. Crystal clear and vibrant stunning top audio throughout the play of this vinyl.   I would grade the audio at Near Mint!

Please note! Allowances must be made for these mid eighties pressings. They are notorious for static ticks/crackle in quieter places. I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for very light isolated static type crackle/ticks that might be noticed in quieter places, but not consistent through out the audio. Debrit was noted on the playing surface after play. A constant clean before each play is recommended because this vinyl has been stored in a case laying dormant for over 30 years. A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static ticks/ crackle. constant cleaning before each play will reduce this and enhance the audio quality.
 
The Labels
These are the original 1st UK issue Epic labels A minimal amount of spider marks can be seen angled to the light in my opinion,  This has barely ever been played in my personal opinion!  There is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round.

The Record Sleeve
This is the original 1st issue flimsy paper picture/lyric record sleeve. This is straight and generally clean with light creasing only.  There are no edge splits or tears. The vinyl is always stored separately from the vinyl. This is how I have always stored my records.

The Cover
This is the original 1st UK issue Un laminated cover. Printed by Shorewood Packaging. (no barcode) No nasty creases to report and any storage wear is only really noticed if looked for in my opinion. It is noted that there are some light storage wear marks noted at the rear in the form of light but minor indent/grazes but these are only noticed if looked for when angled to the light in my opinion. Any edge rubbing is very slight only and not noticed unless looked for in my opinion. Only if looked at angled to the light are minor indents seen on the rear / minor scuff mark. Rich and very vibrant colours. I would grade this cover at excellent in my opinion.
