Release: ‘Sway’ EP
Format: 12” black vinyl four track extended single. Includes the tracks ‘Sway’, ‘My Brother Sarah’, ‘Mona Lisa’s Eyes’ & ‘Bellechoux’. ‘Sway’ was featured as the lead single from their 1992 debut album on Fontana, and the other three tracks are exclusive to this release.

Rarity: 12” formats of this release are very rare, and it was released on 7”, 12”, cassette and CD formats, and was another non-charting single for the band therefore very limited stocks hit the market back in 1992. You must also consider that this was the lowest point of vinyl sales with CD as by far the dominant format, so most copies of this single that end up on eBay and others is the CD version.
Condition: the record is graded on the following basis:
Outer card cover: very thin card has moderate wear and minor creasing to the two panels. Moderate edge and handling wear around all edges of the cover have me grading this harshly at very good minus (-) condition, but what makes this so special is that this cover is beautifully signed by the four members of the band in blue biro and one of the best collection I have seen, and very nicely highlighted within the central green and yellow panel. This cover would look amazing framed!!
Inner paper cover: plain poly-lined bag is in excellent condition with no splits or tears and minor creasing only.
12” labels and vinyl’s: vinyl has a lovely shone and with minor markings, hairlines and handling marks and graded as excellent minus (-) condition.
Sonic play-grade condition: I play all of my vinyl’s twice on an unforgiving Rega 6, and this deck brings out all the defects and nuances in vinyl believe me! This copy played well, and actually these are four really good tracks, with three that were unique it this single release, so hard to track down nowadays. Maybe not at their 1996 song-writing peak, but sold tracks and well-recorded nether the less…. Sonic condition is overall very good condition with minor background noise, and static in the quiter sections of the EP...
