Re-release of Omar Khorshid's 1978 instrumental album originally released in Lebanon. The album shows Khorshid's trademark twangy electric guitar sound over Arabic melodies, enriched with intriguing arrangements and early synthesizer sounds. Omar Khorshid, one of the greatest guitarists in the Arab world who has accompanied Stars such as Oum Kalthoum, Abdel Halim Hafez and Farid El Atrache, was born in Cairo in 1945. Wewantsound's series of Arabic music re-releases is curated by Lebanese-born Arabic music expert Mario Choueiry of the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris. The album has been remastered and comes with the original 'Voice of Lebanon' LP artwork.
