Description

A one-off vinyl record of ‘Lorica Pink’ written and performed by Barry Burns of globally renowned rock band Mogwai and multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Kathryn Joseph.


‘Lorica Pink’ is Barry Burns and Kathryn Joseph’s first collaboration, created in conjunction with Fettercairn Distillery. The record is pressed on deluxe pink vinyl, signed by both artists, and is the only physical copy that will ever be released for sale. The music for ‘Lorica Pink’ was inspired by the tasting notes from Fettercairn’s Vanguard release, and discussions over how music and flavour can be interpreted as colours and shapes. To listen to the track, or for a digital download, the record is available via Rock Action Bandcamp, with all proceeds going to Tiny Changes.


100% of the money raised from this auction, after fees, will be donated to Tiny Changes - Scotland's young people's mental health charity. The charity was set up originally by the family of Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison, who took his own life in 2018. We run projects with young leaders to help young minds feel better. Registered charity number SC049112.
