Description

Original 1972 US pressing - Pharoah Sanders "Black Unity" on the Impulse! ABC AS-9219 Stereo - Gatefold. This classic LIVE LP features Pharoah Sanders during his early 70's spiritual free jazz era. The album includes Cecil McBee and Stanley Clarke together on basses, Joe Bonner on piano, Norman Conners and William Hart on drums, Carlos Garnett on reeds, Marvin Peterson on trumpet, and Lawrence Killian on congas/percussion. One song "Black Unity" parts 1 & 2 fill up this live Pharoah session. Vinyl is VG to VG+ and plays well. Some surface noise with occasional ticks / pops. No skips or sticking. The cover in G+ shows signs of ring / usage wear. There is paper loss at the top of the spine. There is also scotch tape and residue remaining from when the plastic was taped to gatefold cover 50 yrs ago. The original paper sleeve is G+ since it has masking tape along edges to prevent splitting.
