One of the Franco Micalizzi's best soundtracks along with IL CINIMO, L'INFAME, IL VIOLENTO (Violence!) and LO CHIAMAVANO TRINITA' (They Call Me Trinity). Welcome to STRIDULUM OST aka "THE VISITOR", Sci-Fi/Horror movie which started the actors Lance Henriksen and Sam Packinpah. So heavy and Funky Soundtrack for this film directed by Giulio Paradisi, young collaborator of Riccardo Fellini. Fabulous, majestic Spacey Funk Electronics allover; Jazz-Funk vibes with the usual great horn session, amazing Synthesizer effects, tensed distressing atmospheres and Funky drum Breaks. Side A opener is the main "STRIDULUM THEME", so intense cinematic grooves with Jazz-Funk based rhythms, strings and heavy horns in the classic Micalizzi's style, deeply dark atmospherics. "RUNNING AWAY FROM JERZY" standout Space Funk, the best shot here together with the main theme: instantly kicking ass with scaling strings, stoned flute, amazing Funky guitar, Fender Rhodes, heavy bassline, spaced out EFX, and ripping drums. "SADNESS THEME" is another one from the record, with its Lounge Funk Electronics. In the B side the "Second Part" provides amazing Smooth Jazz with melodic guitar solo. Huge B-side opener is "HOSPITAL SEQUENCE", mega-cool pursuit theme even better on the second version "BACK IN THE HOSPITAL", heavy Breaks with drums and percussions, tensed theme in the best Micalizzi's style. Boozed 4:28-minutes of Funky guitars and drum Breaks on "JERZY, AGAIN" the return of the previous A-side theme revisited in sleaze Lounge way. Incredible soundtrack, recently reissued and brought back to the glory.
