Description

Breakthrough LP - THE NEW COLONY SIX (Sentar LP 101)

Original 1966 U.S. MONO LP. 12 tracks, including: "I Confess," "Last Nite," "At The River's Edge," I Lie Awake," Dawn Is Breaking," "Mister You're A Better Man Than I," more. Legendary first album from this renowned Chicago sextet, when their musical emphasis was more on 'raw' than their later Mercury recordings. Fabulous full color front cover pic of the lads in all their pimpl-y glory. Disc & cover have definitely seen better days, but the record plays thru fine & sounds quite alright. Certainly in the upper echelon of 1960s era garage full-lengths, & a 'gotta own' for any serious '60s garage LP fan/collector.

Disc = Looks VG- to VG (plenty of lite hairlines & some scuffing - NO deep gouges, scratches, skips, etc), but plays better - only slight background noise (more noticeable in the quiet spots but still not distracting) , w/ occasional lite pops here & there / Cover = front - lite ring/general wear, small crunch/wear in all 4 corners, slight right edge wear, some left edge 'cracking;' back - general wear, browning/yellowing on all edges, name written in upper right corner; much edge wear, top & bottom; 3" seam split in middle bottom; 2" crack (not quite split) in middle top; much spine wear/chipping/cracking, etc / Labels = very slight wear around center hole, lite spindle marks around center hole, a couple of tiny chips & light lines on side 1, name written on side 1 (KERI - same as back cover)

Long-time vinyl fiend here. Grading is very strict & satisfaction is guaranteed, bid/buy with confidence. All vinyl has been cleaned, all records are graded both aurally and visually. I use NEAR MINT- to NEAR MINT (my highest grade)/EX/VG, w/ +/- variables. No excessive shipping or 'handling' charges - buyer will pay approximately what the USPS charges me for shipping, give or take a bit. If I overcharge you excessively for shipping, you will be reimbursed the overage.
