Here is a album from my collection offered up for auction: A RARE 1967 early press "big E" MONO gold label Lp album "The Doors" self-titled FIRST album by the Doors! Great songs, a different, uncensored mix than the more common stereo version! Break On Through, Soul Kitchen, The Crystal Ship, Light My Fire, Back Door Man, The End and MORE!!! This hard to find mono first pressing gold Elektra label, released in 1967 on Elektra records EKL-4007 MONO. The vinyl grades VG, is still clean and glossy, has some light marks and some needle marks, has been PLAY TESTED. Plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, some pops in the lead-ins on both sides (track 1), side one quiets up, side two has some pops throughout heard in the quiet spots and between tracks, but no skips, no jumps, a very enjoyable listen! The original gold Elektra labels are in great shape, side one has small red dot, only moderate spindle wear! Hand written dead wax reads EKL 4007A 1 (col) and EKL 4007B 1 (col). The cover rates a strong EX, has great deep color, is clean, no splits, no tape, binder edge readable, no signatures or writing, minimal edge/corner wear, minimal ring wear, minimal handling, a great cover! (see all photos). Has the original vintage Elektra printed inner sleeve, is clean and bright, center splits taped, but minimal handling! (see photos). There is NO RESERVE PRICE!
