Description
For sale, my cherished master recording of Andre Previn and the London Symphony Orchestra featuring a Tchaikovsky Spectacular. On Side 1 is Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture Op.49, followed by his Marche Slave Op. 31 and on Side Two, the Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture.
This very rare recording was purchased new and has been stored vertically in a closed cabinet in a smoke free and pet free home. It has been played less than 10 times on a high specification Linn Sondek so wear is minimal and its condition is almost as new.
Both pieces of music were recorded live from the studio direct to the Master Disc and the quality, dynamic range and impact is superb.
Having retired recently, I have sold my Linn Sondek and related Hi-Fi equipment as part of trading down to a smaller multi-room streaming system - so this very special album is no longer required.
Other details as follows:
The album was recorded in 1979 by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab and full details are written up on the outer protective sleeve – see photo.
The record itself is protected with an inner sleeve.
The vinyl will be shipped in fully protected packaging.
In summary, I have treasured owning this very rare master recording over the years and represents a Hi-Fi and music connoisseur's dream to own. Although only played a few times, the quality and impact from the canon as it roars on the 1812 impresses!
Thank you for looking and good luck with the bidding.
