Description
Original Vintage Punk Void Red Bondage Trousers.
A very unusual bondage trouser made from I believe a military pair of trousers that have been dyed to a burgandy colour. Red webbing trims have been added along with d rings and snap hooks.
To finish, a bum flap has been created by using a black print on red cloth reproduction of a Daily Mirror newspaper headline from 1964 about the May Bank Holiday fights between Mods & Rockers in Margate has been attached by black webbing and more d rings and snap hooks.
This is a brilliant example of Alternative Punk clothing against the established mass produced garments and ideals.
I believe that I bought it from Nigel (Fifth Column?) in Beauford Market, World's End probably in 1977 who specialised in outrageous and individual pieces.
The size is hard to identify as the original trousers would have shrunk during the dying process (and the subsequent tayloring!
Measuring round the inside of the waist I get the figure 28 inches so I would say its a small.
Overall length from the top of the waist band to the leg cuff is 40 inches. They have been shortend so there is another 3 1/2 inches to be let out if you need the extra length.
Good vintage condition for its age.
