Description
Hi All, the thinning out of my collection continues and I’ve sorted out a few choice cuts in the collection for your consideration as well as a few ‘vinyl staples’ for the discerning new entrant to vinyl collecting. OK for your consideration we have:
Title: A QUICK ONE by THE WHO
Cat No: 593002 - mono
Issue: Original 1966 issue on the REACTION Label
Vinyl Condition visual: The vinyl grades as EX-; the vinyl has retained most of its gloss and deep sheen. The disc is very clean but has a few light wispy scratches and a few very light marks on each side, all being commensurate with age and grade I hasten to add. All in all, it’s a strong EX-.
Vinyl Condition Playback: The vinyl grades as EX-; very mild static at the run-in but these quickly subside when the music kicks in; thereafter its just very occasional mild static during the playback but nothing too drastic and all commensurate with grade. Aside from this the vinyl sits flat on the turntable and there is hardly any lessening of sound quality – strong EX-.
Label Condition: EX; as you can see in the photo minimal and very light spindle marks to the un-textured labels and no writing, doodles or other blemishes whatsoever on the labels. The silver text is clean and legible; superb examples.
Cover Front: The front cover Grades as EX-; the laminated front is clean and essentially undamaged. It has retained its shape very well. The central image is clear and the lamination is excellent and intact. A few mild creases mainly at the corners aside from this there are no other notable creases/splits whatsoever to report. All edges are secure; overall an excellent example of this fab vibrant sleeve.
Cover Back: VG+; the laminated back is in VG+ condition being clean and damage free with a little age related wear showing i.e. a little ring-wear evident when held to the light and a few mild creases at the corners. The laminate is lifting at the bottom right corner. Other than that it’s in pretty good nick and I have no hesitation in grading it a strong VG+.
Spine: EX; the spine is intact, clean with good lamination cover. It has rounded-off a bit but all the text is legible and clear.
Corners: VG; slight bumps but retaining square edges.
Inserts/Other: No poster I’m afraid.
Summary: This is a fab album and quite elusive in reasonable condition. I’ve owned and cherished this for many years now and stuff like this is already getting more difficult to find. So here’s your chance to grab a very nice copy of a fab album.
Postage: With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no-nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.
