We are offering two listings of the Casals Bach Suites.  Please note our other listing.

Wednesday 5/21 AM:

I have today looked very carefully at each record in both Casals Bach listings.  If there are cracks, even hairline and faint, they are not visible even in bright sunlight, at least not to me.  I must now admit to seeing scuffing and light scratches not obvious before,
which i am certainly noting in the listings and changing the record grades.

The light shows there was handling and playing, though the spindle holes and the labels still appear quite as new!   I believe that a proper professional cleaning will make an improvement - the records deserve that;  but I leave that to the next owner, who may know better where to get that done.

I am trying to describe the records properly, I have no desire to cheat my customers.  With expensive records like these, there is extra emphasis on the 14 day cheerful return option.  People can be quite demanding, and that's ok as long as they agree the items are accurately described.

Because these records are not readily available, they are desirable even if not in as new condition.

This set is in excellent listenable condition, though we have not listened to it.  We would prefer that it be properly cleaned after sitting for so many years.
Please note the spindle holes in the pictures.  There is no damage at all to them.
The records were played, but were well cared for.
 
The book is in quite good condition, though with some corner and edge wear and light sun damage and/or soiling outside.  There is light fraying at the spine edges.

 The inner sleeves are as new.
 
Inside the front cover, pictured, are taped the original 4 page RCA accompanying leaflet as well as a newspaper article about Casals from the post WWII era.
their condition is faded but intact, while the leaflet is lightly torn at the edges.

Packing will be done carefully, with cushioning between the records, cushioning the boxed set inside a box,  securing the box, then cushioning that box inside another larger box.

Just a polite note about grading:   Here at anunderdogg we love our records!  We own thousands of them and listen to them more often than average people watch television.  
We know and appreciate a good, listenable record and would not knowingly misrepresent or hide flaws for an extra nickel.

We don't often come across highly valuable and collectible records, and we'll never get rich with our vinyl, so we have nothing to lose being honest.  So...

Grading of records here is done conservatively, though not scientifically. 

We are aware of the Goldmine standard and pretty much use it as a rough guide.
Still, the joy of records is in the listening (and the handling and the cover art and reading the liner notes and blowing the dust off and cueing the needle) and yes, even hearing some surface noise before the music starts.  So...,
While we take the utmost care of them, we want to enjoy the records, not keep them in a museum.  But we won't knowingly sell a junk record;  after all, we wouldn't want to waste our money that way, so we won't let you waste yours.  So if we say it's VG or better, it's likely something you'll find is worth having and playing.
Your good wisdom will determine at what dollar value.
