Description

You are bidding on an a strictly limited edition vinyl copy of the sixth installment of the Songs For Slim series, where artists pay tribute to Replacements guitarist Slim Dunlap by covering his songs. This 45 leads off with alt-country rockers Deer Tick collaborating in Nashville with Vanessa Carlton and Scott Lucas of Local H to cover "From the Git Go," Slim's classic cautionary tale of giving a good girl a chance. Side A features John Doe of X giving his rendition of "Just For the Hell of It." Again, Joe Henry was at the helm producing this track. Both tracks come from Slim's first album The Old New Me.
This release will be limited to 100 numbered copies, signed by Deer Tick, Vanessa and John. Like all SFS releases, it features original Chris Mars artwork on the cover. Each release includes a digital download card for both songs and all proceeds go to to The Slim Dunlap Recovery Fund (Details below). This auction will run June 15-22.
As an added bonus, the highest bidder out of all 100 of these auctions will receive a pair of beautiful high-end wooden headphones, courtesy of LSTN!
