Description

Super rare limited-edition first pressing of this 1941 debut by the short-lived early folk supergroup Almanac Singers (Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Millard Lampell, Josh White, Sis Cunningham).

This set of three 78 shellac 10" records was only available for about two months in May-June 1941; when Germany invaded the USSR in late June, its pacifist content was deemed passé and it was pulled from stores and destroyed.

As clean a copy as you could hope to find: cover is intact with only minor seam/edge wear; all three records are intact and seem virtually unplayed, with only minor overall wear and the odd surface scuff. There is some small writing on one of the 78 sleeves and what looks like a drop of white paint on the top seam, but otherwise this is a pristine top copy of this rare set.

Insurance and extra packing cost required.
