Description
Rare Paramount label honoring "Ma" Rainey. Disc 12098: DREAM BLUES and LOST WANDERING BLUES. You will be hard pressed to find a better copy of this record. It plays clear and crisp on my electric turntable (lightweight cartridge, 3.0 mil sapphire). No edge flakes, no cracks. The recording surface is shiny but with pressing pimples under the grooves as would be expected of a record of this production period (illustrated in photo below). Labels are excellent. One faint (and I consider negligible) sleeve scuff on Lost Wandering side, and one faint (and again, nearly negligible) microscopic needle mark on the Dream side which is on the absolute cresst of the groove surface, the width of less than a human hair, and does not reproduce. I am being very detailed and critical here. See the flash pictures below...this record is in amazing.....I repeat...AMAZING condition. I conservatively grade this as a "E" using the VJM Record Grading System. Record will be properly packed for safe delivery between lots of cardboard sheets in a sturdy box with lots of styrofoam. I am not offering media mail on this record, because of its rarity and significance, it will ship securely by Priority Mail. I simply do not want to run the risk of random Media Mail inspections that the Postal Service performs. Payment via PayPal, or in person. I ship WORLDWIDE.
