EARLY AMERICAN FILM HISTORY!

You are bidding on a set of eight 12-inch 78 rpm recordings all dated 1931. These were released on the Paramount Pictures PUBLIX label, pressed by Victor, and are labeled “Production-Reel." They are in essence the audio tracks for short Paramount films released during that era. These records play from the inside to the out.

A YouTube search for “Screen Souvenirs” will kick up examples found on these very records and will allow you to hear content.

Each record – including an example of the embossed “VICTOR”flipside – is pictured here. In a couple of cases, I tried to show the information etched into the dead wax because there is no title information on the label itself. All the records indicate that they were pressed in Long Island.

Condition is uniformly Very Good. Maybe better.  Appear to be seldom played and sample play sounded great.  No issues with the grooves or shellac, though based on visual grading.
