Well here's a curiosity.

I bought this acetate LP along with a copy of Paul's 1971 MAM 'Passing Stranger' album. It has no personnel or recording details other than the song titles hand written on a plain white sleeve, and as an acetate it naturally comes without any catalogue or matrix numbers. I'm guessing that it was probably recorded in the early 1970s when Paul was unable to release any records due to ongoing legal disputes. The songs are classic 70s singer/songwriter material, some solo acoustic, some with full rock band arrangement.

If anybody out there knows more about this session, or if these tracks appeared anywhere else by anybody else, then please get in touch.

ACETATE & SLEEVE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION

Presumably made in England by Pye Records Ltd

CONDITION: VERY GOOD The disposable nature of acetates makes them far less durable than vinyl, as any plays will immediately erode them. This copy shows heavy scuffing and surface marks, with one small but deep scratch that causes some clicks on the first track of Side Two. That said, the acetate plays very well with some typical background noise in places. The plain white unlaminated sleeve is a little grubby with some staining and creasing, but no folds, tears or seam splits.

Prices include both the Royal Mail postage fee and 70p towards my packaging costs.

All records will be removed from their outer sleeves and then placed in a new polythene sleeve, before being carefully packed WITH TWO CARDBOARD STIFFENERS and posted in strong new Covers 33 mailers (although I do try to re-use good quality heavyweight packaging whenever practical). Please try to recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just help to offset the damage done when it was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of old tyres.

Certificates of Posting are obtained for all packets despatched, without exception.
