PEREZ PRADO AND HIS ORCHESTRA

SIDE A:     PATRICIA - TWIST

SIDE B:     TI-PI-TIN - TWIST

MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original RCA Records very first Mono press released, made and distributed by RCA Victor Records in Chile in 1962, catalog number 47-8006, with machine etched matrix numbers 47-8006-A LT (“LT” handwritten) R1 in Side A and 47-8006-B LT (“LT” handwritten) R1 in Side B, with white/black RCA Victor Records labels and push-out center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile for all fans, lovers and collectors of Perez Prado and Latin Jazz!!!

Patricia - Twist” was originally released in USA in March 1962 and the same year we got this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in original language only, with full credits for songwriters, play time of each song and the price printed in Side A, “E° 1,80”. It’s interesting to notice that price informed it’s a sticker, so this record is repriced, original price printed (it should be “E°1,50”) was changed to “E°1,80”. So, here you have the chance to get and own this single of Perez Prado in this MEGARARE PRESS with WHITE LABELS, almost never seen and maybe now auctioned here in eBay by the very first time!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many soft scuffs, light hairlines and some scratches, which don’t affect play at all, and the push-out center removed. Labels are in VG or VG+ condition both sides, clear and clean, with moderate spindle hole wear, some age browning and faint blemishes in both sides, with the name of some past owner in Side A and the sticker of the shop which originally sold this record in Side B. The sound is a nice surprise, it’s in strong EX or even EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only minimal crackles, more evident at the last seconds of each song, which of course don’t cause any distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end, with Side A closer to EX+ and Side B closer to EX. Overall, maybe this record is not for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, if you consider the look, but sure it’s still a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS, with not a bad look and still with a superb sound quality after about 60 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

_____________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
