Peter Trunk was certainly one of the Germany’s best bass-players, in the 50ies and 60ies he was part of many A. Mangelsdorff  and K. Doldinger - recordings, he is the bass-player on the PHILIPS records “Trio Conception” and “D. Gojkovich - Swinging Macedonia”, he had his free-jazz projects, he plays on P. Thomas’ “Playgirl” and on R. Kovacs “Love That” etc.

This was his first recording as a leader, recorded in spring of 1973, sadly it was also his last, because he died in a car-accident on New Year’s Eve in New York, 1973.

Musically it’s one of the best funky – kraut - fusion recordings ever, all musicians are in top-form: fat bass-lines throughout, S. Schwab’s indian tarang adds exotic sounds, tons of Fender Rhodes and sicker keyboard-sounds, sharp horns, dark atmospheres, killer grooves, breaks and more. Highly recommended!I
